Electricity is a fundamental necessity for both learning and conducting business, and this project ensures that these young students have access to it.
– Schools Management Committees Training Project (2024): In 2024, our team conducted a comprehensive training program for six School Management Committees (SMCs) from different schools. A total of 36 individuals were trained in critical aspects of school management and governance. This project was designed to empower committee members, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities in promoting effective school administration, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of education.
– Head Teachers School Management Project (2023): In 2023, we collaborated with the government to train 68 head teachers from schools across the region. The training provided a holistic overview of school management and governance, including a focus on the government’s official Intaba manual. This project aimed to enhance the leadership capabilities of head teachers, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage their institutions effectively and holistically.
2. Health and Nutrition
– Hydroponics Project (2025): In 2025, we successfully implemented a hydroponics project at Sikhandzabantfu High School. This initiative, housed in a 10×5 meter greenhouse structure, introduced a soilless farming method that addresses the challenges of a dry climate. The project supports over 1,650 plants, providing a source of nutrition and a resilient approach to food production.
– Mental Health Project (2024): The Mental Health Project, implemented in 2024, reached six schools across the Lubombo region. The initiative focused on raising awareness about crucial mental health issues such as stress and depression. Students were provided with foundational training in mental health first aid, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to identify and support their peers, fostering a more supportive and understanding school environment.
